Electrician in Belgrade
Distribution boards, fuses and protection devices, new circuits, sockets, lighting, storage heaters and testing of existing installations. As an electrician in Belgrade we trace faults in the wiring, replace circuit breakers and RCDs, fit out fuse boards, replace sockets, switches and lights, run new circuits, connect cookers and water heaters and service storage heaters. Work is booked Monday to Saturday from 08 to 16, and for a dangerous electrical fault there is a call-out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every electrical service has its own line in the published price list, and materials are paid separately.

Fuse board, circuit breakers and the RCD
Many faults show up first at the fuse board. A circuit breaker protects the cable from overload and short circuit, and the RCD protects people from electric shock, because it cuts the supply as soon as some of the current goes where it should not. A breaker that trips is therefore always telling you something: if it is simply switched back on and the cause remains, it will trip again. Fault finding is charged until the cause is established, and the repair separately.
A board with old screw-in fuses and no RCD is fitted out anew, single-phase or three-phase. The price list shows it line by line: the common preparation and connection of the board is paid once per board, and each circuit breaker and RCD per piece. The same applies to a replacement in an existing board: the first device carries the preparation, and each further one in the same board is a separate, smaller line.
Sockets, lighting and storage heaters
A socket that gets hot, sparks or holds the plug loosely should not wait, and neither should a switch that crackles. Ceiling lights, chandeliers and wall lights are replaced on the existing outlet, and when a room has too few sockets or a socket is needed in a new place, a new run is made, surface-mounted in trunking.
A storage heater charges at night, on the cheap tariff, and gives off heat during the day. When it does not warm up overnight or heats only partly, the cause may be a heating element, the thermostat, the switch or the fan, so the fault is established first and only the faulty part is replaced; fault detection is not charged if the repair is done in the same visit. Before the heating season the heater can be cleaned of dust, with a check of the heating elements and the insulation.
Old wiring in Belgrade flats
Some flats built before the 1980s have aluminium wiring, made for far fewer appliances than a flat has today. Aluminium loosens at the joints over time and heats up, so the fault often appears in a junction box or at a socket rather than in the cable itself. With such wiring an inspection of the flat comes first, with a report on the board, the protective devices, the earthing and the sockets, and on that basis it is decided whether a repair is enough or it is time for a rewiring, of the whole flat or part by part.
How billing works
Electrical work is billed per job, and for larger works by the number of circuits and the accessibility of the installation. The full price list is on the price list page.
